Unlike the ubiquitous, cookie-cutter, one-size fits all, generic online training plans and coaching services – we understand that fitness and training is only effective when it is tailored to the individual. We take the time to understand each individual’s unique circumstances – current fitness; life, work and family demands; and goals. This relationship based on coach-athlete intercommunication is the cornerstone for effective and efficient training plan development. It is essential to understand how the client-athlete is progressing, adapting to the training stress and recovering. Communication also provides accountability, and empowers the client-athlete with understanding the why of training– providing invaluable purpose and motivation to each and every workout.

    Silver Sage Fitness and Sports Lab prioritizes an individualized approach and personal athlete-coach relationship. Following an initial meeting to discuss your current fitness, past training and future goals, we design and develop a tailored program to optimize your training investment. Training is developed based on your individual schedule, adaptation, recovery and goals.

  • Strength Conditioning and Performance Training

    Silver Sage Sports and Fitness Lab prioritizes an individualized approach and personal coach-client relationship. Following an initial consultation to assess your current fitness and discuss your past training and future goals, the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is used to assess your biomechanics and movement patterns.

    A strength program constructed on the foundation of quality movement affords injury-prevention and durability, in addition to accelerating your fitness gains and performance.

  • General Fitness and Wellness Training

    There are a few keys to successfully gaining a foothold on a healthy lifestyle – finding that movement of choice that you enjoy and deeply motivates you, versus feeling you have to go do it; developing a community of training partners for social camaraderie and accountability; and determining your personal goals for your fitness program, for example, targeting a run/walk event, riding in a cycling event or scaling a Sierra peak.

    Silver Sage Sports and Fitness Lab return to sport training programs, as well as evaluation are based largely on a six month fellowship with Dr. Chris Powers* at his USC-affiliated Movement Performance Institute** as well as her mentorship at Athletes’ Performance.
